My Iceland Adventure
Prologue…
I’ve never been a big birthday celebration kind of person since I don’t like to be the center of attention.
However, I do look at birthdays as starting a new chapter, in The Many Adventures of Bonnie, and I want to make it memorable!
I’ve tried to spend my birthdays either in National Parks or nature, places that make me happy and bring me joy!
Iceland, is known for both!
One day, when I return to Iceland…
I’d love to rent a campervan rental and travel the Ring Road.
The famous ‘Ring Road’ is a 1,322 km (820 miles) loop connecting most towns and villages. It is a road trip renowned for its variety of scenery, mountain passes, deep fjords, and many of Iceland’s most iconic sites.I’d also love to experience some guided hiking like this: Landmannalaugar Hiking Day Tour - Highlands of Iceland
More travel info for this destination can be found on one of my favorite travel sites WikiTravel!
What you’ll see below are some of my personal Facebook posts made at the time of my travels, along with some more details.
Hope this is inspirational in some way!

I had never heard of Stewart International Airport prior to researching this trip.

I arrived early and accommodation check in wasn’t for awhile, so I ventured to the Blue Lagoon. At the time of my visit it opened at 7am. I booked the Comfort access to the Lagoon and a shuttle with their transport partner, Destination Blue Lagoon. After my experience I took a shuttle to my accommodation (Approximately $45/45 minutes).
Since it was a last minute trip, and I didn’t want to deal with a rental car, I booked a few different day tours to the most popular areas.

I’m not a foodie, but one thing I was told over and over was that I needed to have an Icelandic Hot Dog, so I did!
